March 10, 2008 After having a small image in Dutch women's magazine, Viva, late last year, one of our shoebox sneakers has been featured in the men's summer fashion supplement of Elsevier magazine. The Nike shoebox Blazer is shown in a segment about sneakers that also features other work by artists as well as top fashion designers. The "Think out of the Box" project consisted of a series of 4 sneaker replicas constructed from their shoeboxes. It was originally created in collaboration with Berlin sneaker store Solebox for an exhibition. Since then it has been featured in various magazines as well as on virtualshoemuseum.com. Elsevier is a weekly magazine from the Netherlands that covers world news and events and supplies backgrounds and opinions. Once a month it publishes a supplement ranging from women's fashion to architecture.
